Rare illnesses, a desperate fight. Help Madison overcome!

Hello everyone,

My name is Andi Lloyd, and I am reaching out to you today with a humble heart and a great deal of hope. For the past 3 years, Madison, my daughter, has been facing significant medical challenges that have turned her world upside down. After experiencing a series of debilitating symptoms, 4 surgeries, and still being a medical mystery, she was diagnosed with multiple serious conditions that require immediate and ongoing treatment. Doctors are still trying to pinpoint the exact cause of her seizures and have found other medical issues/conditions along the way. The issues she has been dealing with include, neurological deficits including "paralysis" type symptoms on her left side, issues from her TBI, seizures, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, jugular vein compression, neurogenic bladder, atlantoaxial instability, cranio cervical instability, Chiari malformation, tethered cord syndrome, Eagles Syndrome, May Thurner Syndrome, transdural cord herniation of the thoracic; possibly more cervical instability and thoracic outlet syndrome. Some of these she has had surgery for which are AAI/CCI fusion, Chiari decompression, tethered cord surgery and also a LP shunt placement for the IIH.

She still hasn't been able to move forward due to the seizures, but this is the next step of the puzzle the doctors are trying to figure out.

For those of you who do not know, all of the above was brought on after an automobile accident in August 2021.

Prior to the accident, Madison already suffered from POTS(postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and EDS(Ehlers-Danlos syndrome).

The road ahead is daunting, both physically and financially. The cost of medical care, including surgeries, medications, and rehabilitation, is overwhelming. Despite having insurance, there are numerous expenses that are not covered, and the financial burden is becoming too much to bear alone.

I haven't been able to work in 3 years as I am Madison's full-time caretaker. She also had to stop working and currently isn't even able to attend school. Disability is so backed up, we don't even have that resource right now, hence the reason I am turning to the kindness and generosity of friends, family, and even strangers. Your support, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in her life. It will help me access the treatments for her that are needed to improve her health and regain her strength. More importantly, it will give her hope and remind her that she is not alone in this battle.
