Hi, my name is Soumya, and I’m raising funds for my friend Krishna and his family.

Krishna has always been a fighter—born with just one kidney and facing many health challenges, he has been dealing with medical issues since childhood while working hard at small jobs to support his family. Over the past year, life has become even more stressful and challenging for him and his family. He is the only son to his elderly parents and a loving father to his 11-year-old daughter.

Krishna’s father, a retired government employee, fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with advanced dementia. He is now completely bedridden, unable to recognize his loved ones. His mother, aged around 65, is doing her best to care for him on a small pension, which barely covers medicines and diapers. The constant stress has taken a toll on her mental and physical health. Doctors have confirmed that Krishna’s father will remain bedridden for the rest of his life. Krishna has always been very supportive of his parents during these challenges, but suddenly his own health collapsed.

Krishna began to lose strength and feel severe numbness in his legs and half his body. His wife is also emotionally strained, managing the household, caring for her husband, and supporting their daughter during this difficult time.

After tests, doctors diagnosed Krishna with spinal cord compression at C2–C3, a condition requiring anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) surgery. Krishna has not yet undergone this surgery, and the total cost of the operation, hospital stay, post-surgery care, and recovery is estimated to be around CAD 15,800 (₹10,00,000). Recovery may take up to one year or longer, including physiotherapy and ongoing medical care.

Krishna has been unable to work for the past five months, and his small business has completely stopped. With no income and debts piling up, the family has nothing left to cover these urgent medical expenses. Their own house is also at risk of being taken over by the bank due to unpaid dues. Even their daughter has discontinued school for the past month due to financial difficulties. This family, who once lived with dignity, is now forced to seek help from society to survive these challenges. This is why we are reaching out for donations to support Krishna’s surgery, recovery, and his daughter’s education.

Every day is a struggle for this family, and Krishna’s daughter dreams of the day her father can walk and care for her like before. Your support can give Krishna a chance to recover and bring hope back into their lives.
