Give Hope to Kayla and Robert's Dream

Unfortunately, we are back. Hello everyone, some of you may know us, but for those who don't, my name is Kayla and my husband's name is Robert. We have been trying to start our family for 5 years now, and this will be our second year with a specialist. This journey with us has been a very long, emotionally and physically draining process. Since our very first post, we have gotten pregnant but unfortunately have lost both pregnancies from very traumatic miscarriages. We are unfortunately having to start this process from the very beginning again.

With having undergone all kinds of testing, from taking medicines orally to injectable medicines that have sent me to the hospital for heartburn and esophageal spasms so bad that I thought I was having a heart attack. Let's back up just a bit. Ever since I was a little girl, I had dreamed of becoming a mother; it’s all I have ever wanted. My husband's biggest dream is to become a father, and I a mother. Unfortunately, we have to go through other methods to even be able to attempt to become pregnant. This is very tough for both of us; the emotions that we feel seeing what feels like everyone around us getting pregnant weighs heavy on us both. This is very hard to do, but there is no way that we would be able to afford this treatment on our own. Robert and I have been trying to conceive for 4 years with no success. We have been working with a fertility specialist for a year officially, and after having undergone a series of 3 IUI (intrauterine insemination) procedures with no success, we now have to unfortunately undergo IVF with genetic testing. We have had to accept this with a heavy heart because we have wanted to conceive naturally, but it has not been easy for us. So we have had to reach out through other methods of funding such as GoFundMe. We appreciate any donations that you give more than you will ever know; all proceeds will go towards our IVF procedure.
