Give hope to Katy Johnson

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

My name is Regina Bennett and I am asking for any assistance you can afford on behalf of my dear friend, and single mom, Katy Johnson.

Katy underwent a double mastectomy on October 20, 2022. Her surgery went well and the recovery process (physical, mental and emotional) were underway.

On January 9, 2023 she suffered a tremendous set back and a near death experience. She was admitted to the ER, it was determined she had sepsis, her expander/incision had become infected and her blood pressure was plummeting. She underwent an emergency, life saving surgery to remove the infected expander.

Before fully recovering from the infection/surgery, on January 18, 2023, she was laid off from her job, losing her livelihood and insurance amid a medical crisis.

In the past 9 months she has undergone two other surgeries, March 18, 2023 to replace the expander that was removed, and on August 18, 2023 for the permanent implants.

She has also regained employment and is on the road to restoring her vitality.

With the out of pocket medical expenses incurred and the lapse in employment she has fallen behind on her monthly payments.
