Grace is one of the incredibly brave children living with KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder (KAND), a rare and debilitating neurological condition caused by mutations in the KIF1A gene. KAND affects every aspect of her life, causing mobility challenges, muscle weakness, developmental delays, and other serious health issues.

KAND is a progressive disorder, which means time is precious. There is currently no cure, but there is hope. KIF1A.org is a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating research, developing treatments, and supporting families like ours who are affected by this rare disease. They are working tirelessly to fund critical scientific advancements to give our daughter and so many others a chance at a better, healthier future.
