Give hope to flood victims in Uvira, DRCongo

Amidst the global pandemic, the people of Uvira in the South Kivu-Democratic Republic of Congo live in disarray. Heavy rainfall has caused a disastrous overflow of the Mulongwe and Kavimvira Rivers. This has resulted in a tragic loss of life and the destruction of homes and farmland. This calamity has left thousands of people homeless, with a lack of food and health care. The floods have also destroyed the livelihoods of thousands, with no access to running clean water and electricity. This flood was the most potent and damaging in the recorded history of Uvira. We are pleading with our community of good neighbors to help the communities of Mulongwe, Kasenga, and Kavimvira.

This tragedy personally affects me because Uvira is home for my family and me. That is where my siblings and I were born. I am seeking help to raise money for the families affected by this tragedy. I am partnering with Congo for Christ Center Organization to deliver your donations to families in need. All donations will go directly to the people who have been affected by the flood.
