Hi, my name is Chasity, and I’m fundraising for my sweet 8 month old son, Gideon.

Just a few days ago, what started as a routine heart doctor appointment turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. After some concerning findings, we were immediately sent to UK Children’s Hospital, where he was admitted into the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). There, we were told that our baby is in heart failure.

He has been diagnosed with multi-level right ventricular outflow obstruction, severe ventricular hypertrophy, and subvalvular left ventricular outflow obstruction—all incredibly serious heart conditions. Doctors are also running tests for a possible genetic disorder called Noonan syndrome, which could explain some of the complications he’s facing.

Our world has been turned upside down. We’re doing everything we can to stay strong and focused on his care, but the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming. Between traveling back and forth, and medical bills the costs are already adding up quickly.
