Hi everyone,
While in California for Lulu’s mom’s funeral, we came across a small pit bull puppy limping through a Home Depot parking lot—alone, frightened, and clearly in pain. She had been hanging around a group of homeless people, some of whom appeared to be drug users. It was obvious she’d been neglected and possibly injured for some time.
We rushed her to emergency care, where we learned she has a broken leg that will require surgery to heal properly. The estimated cost is $3,000, which includes the procedure, follow-up visits, and pain management.
We’ve already paid over $1,500 out of pocket for her emergency exam, leg splint, and medication to ease her pain and reduce inflammation. This sweet girl came into our lives in the middle of an already emotional and difficult weekend—and we couldn’t leave her behind.
She deserves a chance at a healthy, pain-free life with people who care.
We’re covering what we can, but this level of care was completely unplanned. If you feel called to support her healing, any donation will go directly toward her surgery and recovery. Even just sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for reading and for being part of her second chance.
