My name is Shauna. I am raising funds for a friend, Georgene Chase, DDS. She was diagnosed with MSA (multiple system atrophy) in 2022.

Georgene has done so much for her community with her non-profit SmileRestore Dental Clinic that was designed, developed and funded by her. It was designed by her to serve the underprivileged and underserved residents in our community. She has helped our community for over 13 years until she could no longer do so with her illness. She worked with several non-profits that referred their clients to her, such as Catholic charities, Ridge House, Bristlecone Family Resource-Rehabilitation, Empowerment Center, and Men's Crossroads in Reno, NNAMHS Clinic, and The Hope Clinic, just to name a few. We are hoping the community will now give back to her.

Her neuromuscular decline has been so rapid that two years ago she was practicing as a dentist and now cannot bring a spoon to her mouth. This awesome woman adopted all five of her children, the youngest three teenagers that she remains an amazing mom to, despite this unexpected life.

She has been accepted and approved for treatment in a program called NEST which is a stem cell treatment program in Florida. This treatment has an eighty-two percent chance of improving and extending her life. If she does not get this treatment, the illness is terminal.

The amount we are trying to raise includes the treatment program cost, travel, food and lodging for two. We need to raise these funds within about a three-week period of time. It will start on March 14, 2025, and they want the payment the 1st week of March.

We are having an estate sale to help raise funds as well.
