I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of a mom and her two kids, in a desperate situation. After escaping a home filled with domestic violence, she and her children have nowhere to go. Shelters in the area are full, housing programs are on a significant wait list, and she’s left couch-surfing with her little ones. Her bank account is empty, and even the family’s three cars have been taken, all under her abuser’s name. She’s doing everything she can to keep her kids safe, seeking support, trying to finish school, and providing, but the instability is overwhelming, it feels like an impossible fight.

She works part-time but has had to take time off to visit domestic violence services, let alone save up for a place to live, groceries, and limited health care. The stress of this situation is overwhelming, and her kids—who’ve already been through so much— deserve a safe place to call home. She’s fighting every day to give them a better future, but she can’t do it alone.
