We witnessed many wars since the beginning of our lives but we never imagined that we, in this democratic and humane world, may be victims of one of the bloodiest genocides ever. We used to live a very peaceful life in a very peaceful home with a yard full of flowers and trees. We used to gather especially in Ramadan nights to express love and gratitude to each other, but 7th of October had come and took all our peace and happiness .. Bombing started everywhere targeting all people all trees all houses and we evacuated to stay in UNRWA schools to seek refuge and these schools were never proper places to live in especially in the lack of water and electricity and food.
Our sister was taking care of a newborn baby under the sounds of rockets and warplanes with a deep suffering from postpartum depression. We were all worried about her in this hard situation. Khanyounis was targeted insanely and they also hit schools and the destruction and death was getting so close and we started to count days and hours to be killed. We had to leave to Rafah also to live in a small tent without any aids or supplies to discover that Rafah also was a trap and we lived the most difficult days ever. We didn't find water to wash or drink and we spent many nights dreaming of a good meal that make the 2 years kid happy. We were 7 persons in a space that only coud be a small store or a bathroom. Some of us finally had the chance to survive. Yes, survived and evacuated to Egypt after all that hard and fatal time and we never imagined the someone will gave a hand and offer to help some evacuate us to Egypt. As some of us finally feel safe but we are still in need for food and rent and many other stuff. We are still traumatized to the point of not accepting the sounds of civilian planes we used to only hear death and bombing. We also have recently known that our house is destroyed and will be not suitable for housing. We are thinking of how to manage our lives now and how we will hopefully manage our lives in Gaza when we go back to Gaza. We wish that we could gather again there even above the rubble! We pray for a homeland free of wars and violence against humanity. We dream of a better future and this will never be achieved without the support and help of humans who believe of our right of life and living peacefully. Please help us to rebuild our life and reconstruct home again.
