Forte is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting underserved communities and creating greater access to essential resources and opportunities. Through community initiatives, partnerships, and fundraising efforts, Forte works to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of those it serves.
As part of these efforts, Forte is helping raise funds to support École Fihavanana in Madagascar through a benefit concert at Carnegie Hall on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 8:00 PM. The concert will feature world-class soloists, including violinist Qianwen Shen of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, renowned pianists Ying Li and Jiacheng Xiong, Juan Esteban Martinez, Principal Clarinetist of the New Jersey Symphony, and other accomplished musicians. The goal of this fundraising effort is to help Fihavanana expand from an elementary school into a middle school, allowing students to continue their education within their community. Tickets are $40, $50, and $65, with official sales opening August 28.
Established by the Facta Non Verba Foundation in Germany, Fihavanana is both a school and an orphanage serving children who face significant challenges in accessing education and basic necessities. Some students walk up to 14 kilometers to reach school, sometimes without shoes. The school also works to provide students with educational materials, basic necessities, and opportunities for creative learning.
Through this fundraiser, Forte hopes to help Fihavanana expand its educational opportunities and create a middle school where students can continue learning in a safe and supportive environment. Funds will also support essential school supplies, educational materials, basic necessities, and resources such as musical instruments to enrich students' education.
