Give Honey Bear a Chance to Play Again

Hi! My name is Honey Bear. I'm about 5 years old and I'm a long-haired German Shepherd. My dad first found me when I was about 6 months old and I was attacked by some dogs or coyotes. Luckily, they were able to save me with help from people on GoFundMe. I was in the vet for a whole month, but I have healed up and have had a great time since!

I love to play with my spiky squeak toy and any large sticks (logs) my dad finds for me. I love to go on walks to places I haven't been before and I'm an expert howler. I used to be scared of the water, but dad showed me it was safe and I love it! I go everywhere with my dad and I'm always very happy.

Recently, I have been feeling sick again and had tested positive for Lyme disease! On top of that, starting the antibiotics was hard for me and then I started to get nauseous and very tired. My dad took me to the ER after not being hungry and feeling so weak. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with hypercalcemia brought on by a form of cancer. My dad took me on a long drive to another ER to see if they could help me. I'll need another surgery to try and help give me relief from the high calcium levels and to give me some more time for walks with my dad again. Thank you for reading and for any assistance!!
