1yo Holmes (left) and his 2yo more confident brother Watson (right) were found running loose in the streets of Howard Beach and were picked up and brought to safety by a Good Samaritan who snapped this photo. Their owner reclaimed them only to dump them at the Queens NYC ACC. While Watson was adopted, Holmes was given a euth command for being terrified and lost without his brother. A long term foster reached out to me begging Amsterdog Rescue and me to pull Holmes from the euth list. That foster then backed out and left me with Holmes. Because Holmes is terrified of new people, his walks in Manhattan were so stressful and traumatizing for him so I picked up my dog and Holmes and left the city for the suburbs (where Holmes has been thriving after decompressing). I have been here for over a month and have to leave by 2/22! Because we don't have any foster and/or adopter interest, we want to send this sweet, scared boy to a board and train so that he can get a solid foundation and become a more confident, well-trained, great dog for a potential long-term foster or adopter. He is a sweet lovable big baby who deserves a good long life of safety and security! I ask that you please contribute any amount you are able to help the rescue and me set Holmes up for success and enroll him in a board and train. If I am unable to raise enough for a board and train, the monies will go toward Holmes' care and Amsterdog Rescue. Thank you in advance!
