Help Heather Get Life-Changing Surgery for SSCD
For the past two years, I’ve watched my friend Heather battle an invisible but devastating illness—Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence (SSCD). This rare condition caused a hole in the bone of the inner ear, leading to unbearable symptoms like constant dizziness, extreme sensitivity to sound, and even hearing her own heartbeat and eyes move. Everyday life for Heather has become overwhelming, making the simple tasks in life: walking, talking, and caring for herself, a struggle.
Heather’s journey to a diagnosis has been heartbreaking. She has seen 23 different doctors, undergone countless MRIs, CT scans, labs, a lumbar puncture, and been to the hospital six times—all in search of answers. Now, after two years of pain and uncertainty, she finally has a diagnosis: SSCD.
There is hope—a surgery that can repair the damage and give Heather her life back. But like so many medical treatments, it comes with a huge financial burden.
I am asking for your help in making this possible for her. Heather has fought so hard for this diagnosis. Now, she needs us to fight for her. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring her closer to healing. If you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser, so we can get Heather the care she desperately needs.
Thank you for your love and support!
