Give Harvey some time off

Y’all, I need some time off work. A lot of people have asked what would be supportive & I’ve taken some time to consider. I want to travel to Ohio where I’m from & spend time where I grew up with people I miss. I worked last week & it felt wild- like, the compartmentalization was wretched. If you can chip in, share with your network, send me heart beams. I’m really goin’ through it.

some back story: my mom died last week. If you know me, you know this is beyond complex grief. It’s compounded complicated grief I have around lack of support from my dad, being estranged as the family freak transsexual, being poor my whole life & being forced to push through. I got into a gnarly car accident a few months ago that did a number on my body & then went through an intense break up. Grad school as the icing on the cake. I just want to take some time off work to convene with rivers, travel some, & reset my nervous system before my fall term grind starts. I’m so uncomfortable asking bc I know that there is so much crisis but I’m trying to acknowledge that I’m deserving, too.
