On the evening of January 9th, I was sitting on my couch, relaxing and watching TV when I heard a loud, sad meow. I heard it again and realized the sound was coming from the other side of my front door. I unlock the lock and open the door to find a sweet black and white kitty with scratches and dirt on his face, hoping he’s found a safe place to ask for help.
My partner and I scooped him up in one of our cat carriers and took him to the vet to scan for a chip and unfortunately, they didn’t find one. I’ve posted everywhere hoping to find his family (if he has one) with little luck so far but we’re not giving up hope.
In the meantime, my partner and I are taking care of him and watching him get stronger, happier, more playful and trusting with each day. We’ve decided to give him the name Hank and he seems to like it.
Hank will hopefully find a forever home soon but we want to make sure he is able to start his new life in good health. He needs a thorough vet exam and (if we’re unable to find his owner) will need to be neutered. My partner and I are lower income and already have our own resident cats who we need to care for and we can’t afford Hank’s vet bills.
We are humbly asking for donations to help keep Hank on track to find his forever home and live a long, happy life. If you’re not able to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help us reach our goal.
Thank you for reading this far and caring about a sweet little kitty with a second chance.
