I truly hate having to ask for help, but I’ve run out of options and I can’t let this puppy suffer.

We recently purchased a puppy named Halo to be a companion and emotional support animal for my son. Within minutes of leaving, we noticed something wasn’t right—she was snorting and struggling to breathe. After bringing her home, my son took her on a short 10-minute walk, and she began panting, gasping, and clearly having difficulty getting air. She is already super attached to my son and follows him everywhere.

We immediately took Halo to a veterinary clinic, where she was evaluated and diagnosed with an elongated soft palate. This condition is restricting her airway and is life-threatening. We were told that without surgery, Halo is at serious risk of overheating or even suffocating.

We reached out to the previous owner to inform them of what we discovered, but unfortunately, they have not responded.

At this point, we are doing everything we can to help Halo, but the surgery she needs is costly and urgent. I cannot stand by and let her suffer when there is something that can be done to save her life.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover the cost of Halo’s surgery. Any donations will go directly toward her medical care. If there are any additional funds, they will be used to support her training so she can become the emotional support companion my son needs.
