My Grandmother, Evelyn, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This has come as a shock to all of us in our family and has left us heartbroken. My Grandma is the most kindest and selfless person I know. She's the heart of our family, the one who always puts everyone else first, and now she needs our help.

While this news has been devastating for all of us, what has made it more frustrating is the situation with her insurance. My Grandma, originally from Guyana, came to America to get treatment. But without American health insurance, the costs of her treatment are astronomical and completely out of our reach. We want nothing more than for her to be able to focus all her energy on fighting this disease, not on how we will pay for treatment. I so desperately want to give my Grandma a fighting chance, but without insurance, this makes it incredibly hard.
