hello everything, I really appreciate you stopping by and listening to our story xx. It’s hard for me to ask for help while being a healer, but I know more than anything that the power of our community is unmatched. so I here I go…
It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we report our 7 month old kitten, Gracie, was recently diagnosed with feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) and an autoimmune condition known as pemphigous that attacks her skin. Unfortunately, we learned today 3 kittens from her litter have passed away from this disease. All were adopted from the humane society in October.
Until a few years ago FIP was considered incurable and fatal for kittens/cats, but there is treatment out there! Gracie is currently experiencing several complications that require immediate medical attention to save her life. We have spent $1000’s of dollars on diagnostic tests and treatments to figure out what’s going on with her medically and are so grateful we finally have a diagnoses after learning about the heart wrenching truth of her siblings passing.
Treatment is extremely expensive to get this disease under control, but with this treatment it’s possible she can live a happy and healthy life. With insurmountable medical debt we have already acquired we are reaching out to our community to ask for $1/ person donation to bring this happy girls condition around.
We are so thankful for all of your continuous well wishes and prayer. We will believe though this journey will be long she will return to home to herself. Thank you so much for your love and consideration. We appreciate you more than we can put into words.
