Give Gauge the Freedom to Explore

Hi, my name is Nicole Porter and I'm raising funds for my nephew, Gauge Dixon, to get a wheelchair-accessible van.

Gauge is an outgoing, happy 18-year-old. He has complex medical conditions and is a spastic quadriplegic. He loves to go places, see people, and spend time with his family.

Gauge has lived with us for 5 years since his grandparents passed away. Up until now, we transfer him to a car seat in our van, but he has gotten too heavy for us to lift. Usually, Gauge has to stay home with one of us because of this. Even going to the doctor is hard. We have tried to use the insurance for rides and have been stuck for hours waiting to be told they can't help because they can't find a wheelchair-accessible van to get us.

For us to get a lift put in a vehicle, there are certain requirements. We are just looking for help to get a down payment for a new van to get the lift put in. Anything would be appreciated.
