Black Lives Matter: Give these kids a shot

Hi My name is Levi and I own the Papa Murphy’s Pizza in Alamosa, Colorado.
This is Gabe, he is 17 and he works for me.
This is Serenity, she is Gabe’s little sister.
January is their mother.
They live here:
But Gabe works here in Alamosa. It is quite the commute; from a very rough dirt road that requires a high clearance vehicle to well-maintained dirt road to Highway. It takes about 45 minutes each way.

January Moved her kids here to escape a town in New Mexico which was riddled with drug addiction. Gabe’s father isn’t around, He left when Gabe was just a baby. Selena’s father isn’t around either. January is a single mother trying to do the best she can. She works in Alamosa at a local hotel.
Gabe’s 90’s Chevy s10 pickup threw a rod and the engine is dead. They spent their stimulus check on a different truck who’s clutch went out as they were driving it home.

January built a chicken coop and ordered a few chicks online because they were out locally. Because both vehicles were broken, down January and Serenity walked 10 miles to the post office in Blanca. When they arrived they found that the chicks did not make it. The Woods are used to this type of luck.

Gabe is a clear-eyed kid who want’s to be a Veterinarian someday. Serenity is just a kid as you can see from her smile. Serenity's father is black and her mother is white. She is black.
These are severely under privileged children. (they may not see it this way though)
Nothing they did has put them in the conditions that they are in.
We can not choose our family or birth home, but we can choose our actions.
Gabe is choosing very wisely for a 17yr old kid. Gabe takes care of Serenity and helps to make sure she gets to school (when it was open). He is always to work on time and works hard when he is there.
If life is a race, it’s harder to win if:
You haven’t grown up with your father around
Don’t have running water
Don’t have adequate power to your home
Don’t have a reliable vehicle to get to and from work/school.
Can we change their luck and raise enough money to get Gabe a reliable vehicle and a fix for the clutch on their other vehicle so Serenity can go to school and January can make it to work?
