Six months ago, Volk severed the ligaments of his right knee and required surgery. It was meant to be a straightforward procedure, but it quickly exceeded $12,000 and ultimately resulted in two painful surgeries and rehabilitations to correct surgical mistakes and oversights. Due to time he spent favoring one leg, Volk tore the ligaments in his other knee last week.
Volk met with his new orthopedic specialist and received news he would require two additional surgeries to repair the new ligament injury on his left knee and to fix the previous attempts on his right knee.
Through all of the bad news, the surgeon is confident Volk can return to normal activities and exercise within in a few months of surgery.
Any amount is greatly appreciated!
