Rage de los Santos, Rage, the Rage, the eternal saint of Spice Market, has asked for our prayers and support. Given how much he's done for all of us through the years, Lena Andi and I (Maddie Callis) thought we set up a fund to give a little something extra. Rage once gave me the best professional advice I've ever received when a guy was being awful to me at Table 32 at Spice Market while showing off as host of business dinner: "Kill him with kindness." I hope we can give Rage some of that same kindness.
From Rage:
" My whole family has tested positive for the corona virus. My mother (note Rage's mom past away November 10th) and her brother have been in the ICU since Monday. Their sister who works in the health department of our town gave it to them. She is one of the persons doing all the testing for Covid and we know how much risk this is for our family. So our whole family is infected, too. My sister (Rage's) is in the hospital but not as bad as my mom and uncle. My sister's kids and husband are in isolation. My son (Rage's) just got cut from his job in Saudi Arabia and now back in the Philippines is taking care of them. He is my youngest song and he is risking his life without hesitation. I am so proud of him. I feel so helpless not being with my mom and family. Thank God for the easy way of communicating and video calling. I've been able to reach my family and send money. In this situation without a job, I am not sure I can sustain. There is a lot to do for my family to recover."
