Give for Hope

On April 4, 2022 Hope was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer (metastasis to the liver). This type of cancer is considered “incurable” by her doctors. On May 2, 2022 she started the most aggressive form of chemo treatment available to her that will last for 12 weeks. This has left Hope unable to work full time and has put a tremendous financial strain on her family. She is a single mom of two (ages 10 & 13) and any help for the mounting medical bills would be a giant blessing in their lives. Please consider donating to her and her family as she gives so generously in her life and has positively affected so many that know and love her!

For more details:
The plan is 6 treatments over 12 weeks, every other week. Day 1, mostly Mondays, will have her at St. Francis Cancer Center for about 6 hours where the team administers 4 chemo medicines. Day 2 & 3 are a take home chemo med which is attached to her port and will stay for 46 hours then be removed by the staff at the cancer center on day 3. Day 4 she goes back in the late afternoon for a white blood cell booster shot.

This protocol is repeated every other week until the initial 6 rounds are complete and the oncology team does a new CT to determine how the cancer cells responded. If more treatment is needed that will be the time to decide on more chemo, Immunotherapy, targeted chemo or colon/liver resection surgery.
