Class of '93' and friends,
Our dear friend, "Geach," was recently dealt a bad hand. He fractured his wrist mountain biking in August, and as a result, he was unable to work from late summer through the fall. More recently, Jay was diagnosed with melanoma. He's receiving excellent medical care but is unable to work at this time. As many of you know, Geach is independently employed and the sole employee of his company, Bolder Stoneworks. Constructing those beautiful hardscapes he is well known for is "back-breaking" work, and currently, he's in no condition to do it.
The goal of this fundraiser is to support Jay with the medical debt he has already incurred, additional medical expenses associated with his cancer treatment, medical insurance, lost earnings for time out of work, and funds to support his family. While there is every reason to remain optimistic about how he will respond to treatment, it's going to take substantial time before he's back building those hardscapes.
As we think about Geach, the fact that he works with stone is too fitting. He's always been the rock of strength/support to his family, friends, teammates and the community. We hope you'll support our friend through this challenging time.
