UPDATE:

We were able to bring Fitz home! He is settling in and adjusting to his pen area. He will have a recovery period of 8-12 weeks, with small breaks to work on walking. He is a trouper and is pushing himself to try. He will need extensive therapy to regain his strength. His journey is far from over. 

Our sweet boy, Fitz recently suffered an injury that has left him unable to walk. Showing signs of severe pain and weakness in his back legs, Fitz was rushed to the emergency vet and the only option to give Fitz a real chance at recovery is spinal surgery. If left untreated, could cause permanent paralysis.

Fitz is not just a pet; he’s a beloved member of the family, full of love, resilience, and just a happy guy. We’re doing everything we can to help him walk again, but we can’t do it alone.

The total cost of Fitz’s treatment, surgery, and recovery is overwhelming — already exceeding $10,000 and continuing to climb.
