Hello, it's Mr. L, I am reaching out to ask for your support in making our first-grade field trips at Bedford Elementary in Dearborn Heights, Mi, possible this year. These experiences are more than just fun outings—they’re essential opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, and growth. Unfortunately, because our district does not have buses, transportation costs continue to be a barrier, and we want to ensure every child has the chance to participate. One bus on average runs approximately $450 per field trip. By donating to our GoFundMe page, you’ll help cover bus and admission expenses and make these enriching adventures accessible to all students. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to opening the world to our young learners.

Our school is an elementary building in the south end of our community. The school consists of approximately 400+ students. The neighborhood is a working class neighborhood, filled with the type of hard working families that built this great country. We are a Title I school. 90% of our student population receives free/reduced lunch. My little ROCKSTARS are an amazing group of little ones who come to school each day with smiles on their faces. Despite any struggles at home, they enter each day excited to learn!
