Hi, my name is Gary Arp.
I have a 3-year-old orange female cat named Fiona, and she means the world to me. Just a few weeks ago, Fiona suddenly became very sick. She was lethargic, vomiting, and unable to use the bathroom. I rushed her to the emergency veterinarian, where I was told she had a blockage in her small intestine and that without immediate surgery, she would not survive.
I had no choice but to say yes to the surgery, even though it cost $4,000—money I did not have. I borrowed from family and friends and took out loans because I could not imagine losing her. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and I believed the worst was behind us.
But just three weeks later, my heart broke all over again.
Fiona began showing the exact same symptoms—weak, vomiting, and clearly in pain. I rushed her back to the hospital, terrified. The veterinarians told me she had developed another intestinal blockage, this time caused by complications from the first surgery. Adhesions had formed, causing her organs to stick together and create another life-threatening obstruction.
Once again, I was faced with an impossible decision. Without immediate surgery, Fiona would not survive. The second surgery was performed and was successful, but the cost is $5,000. I am completely overwhelmed. I have already exhausted my savings, borrowed everything I can, and taken on debt to save her life. I truly do not know how I will manage this financially.
I am humbly asking for help. Fiona is a sweet, loving cat who deserves a chance to live a full life. Any amount, any support, or even simply sharing her story would mean everything to us. I never imagined I would be in this position, but I am doing everything I can to save her.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this.
God bless,
Gary Arp
