Teaching children with special needs is one of the most rewarding experiences in the world, but it also comes with unique challenges. There is so much these students need to thrive—materials, resources, and supports—that often fall directly on the teacher. While I will always give everything I can to help my students succeed, it isn’t always feasible to provide everything on my own.

I have so many plans to create opportunities, build skills, and give these children the tools they deserve, but I don’t have the resources to make it all possible. That’s why I’m reaching out for kindness and compassion. With your help, I can continue to support my students to the very best of my ability.

Last year, thanks to generous support, I was able to create a small but effective sensory room. It has been a lifeline for students in crisis moments—a place where they can regulate, calm, and regain their focus. I am eternally grateful for what we were able to accomplish, and I would love to build on that momentum.
