Help Our Family Lay My Son to Rest After a Tragic Shooting

My name is Aungi, and I am creating this fundraiser with a heart heavier than I ever imagined carrying. On Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, my son, Eric Simmons III, was shot and killed after getting off the school bus in New Orleans. He was just trying to come home—something every child should be able to do safely.

There are no words that can fully express the pain our family is facing. My son was a loving and funny child who deserved a long life filled with opportunities, not one cut short by senseless violence. He had dreams, plans, and so much potential. Now our family is left to pick up the pieces and navigate a reality we were never prepared for.

We are asking for support to help cover the unexpected expenses that come with laying a child to rest. The costs for funeral services, burial arrangements, and transportation are already overwhelming.
