Hello, my name is Emma. I am 16 years old and a brand new first time mom. I currently live in Skiatook with my Dad and my baby boy newly born. I am asking for help with back rent so my family can avoid eviction. I was reunited with my biological father after not seeing him for 15 years. Due to my circumstances I have been passed through the state system and in unstable homes for most of my life. I struggled with mental health and of course behaviors in my early teen years. When I found out I was pregnant, not only was I scared but all I could think about was trying to give my baby a life I never had. I want to complete my GED and eventually go to Clary Sage College. I am trying to utilize government resources to help with daycare and food but as you know those processes take forever. My father unfortunately has struggled with his employments and it has caused us to get behind. We are at risk of losing our apartment and I would like for us to have a real chance at catching up. I will not ask for the full past due but I am asking for at least $1500 to give us a head start. I am not someone who often asks for handouts but if anyone can give us a leg up during this difficult time it would be greatly appreciated. I just had my very first job recently and I only make a small amount starting out. I am contributing as much as I can. I hope that one day when I am older and a more mature mother I will be able to pay it forward to young moms who are trying to change their lives too.
