A Loving Mother of 5 Children
A recent trip with Dulce changed my life forever. As many of you know, Dulce and I have five children together, ranging from 5 to 20 years old (we are the modern version of The Brady Bunch). To thank Dulce for her relentless support and devotion to our children, I surprised her with a two-week vacation. While on vacation, she began experiencing severe pain throughout her body. Less than a month later, Dulce would undergo an 8-hour surgery to remove multiple organs and cancerous tumors in her stomach, ovaries, lungs, and colon.

Dulce has Advanced Ovarian Cancer-Stage IIIC. Moreover, she has a hereditary cancer gene which severely impacts the efficacy of chemotherapy and increases her risk of getting breast cancer to over 80%.

In June Dulce will complete her chemotherapy, however immediately following her last infusion of chemotherapy she will undergo at least one preventative surgery to minimize her chances of developing breast cancer. Soon after her surgery she begins experimental cancer treatment (i.e., gene therapy, immunotherapy or hyperthermia therapy) in the United States or overseas.

Our Needs
Our family wants to give Dulce a fighting chance to be cancer-free and to live a long and healthy life. In the next few months, Dulce’s out-of-pocket costs will skyrocket since most of her medical expenses (future surgeries and experimental cancer treatments) will not be covered by her insurance. To further complicate things, Dulce will probably not be allowed to return to work in the healthcare industry since she is considered a “High Risk” of severe illness for COVID-19.

2. Second, buy a custom raised garden bed from our kids. Our kids and their friends will gladly build you a custom, raised garden bed, and deliver it to your home for an affordable amount. All proceeds will go directly towards paying for Dulce’s medical bills.
