Our dog, Dizzy, had wandered from our home in January and was gone for a week. When we found her and brought her back home, her leg was severely injured and infected. We have spent the past two months going to the vet multiple times a week for hydrotherapy and wound care. Despite all of our efforts to save Dizzy’s leg, the infection is too deep and we have to amputate to avoid the infection causing any more harm to her. We received the quote yesterday and are normally not people to ask the public for help, but we have spent thousands in the past couple of months trying to save her leg to find out it will be roughly $4500 for the surgery. Any little bit helps. Our girl is four years old and we just want to give her the best chance at a happy, healthy life as possible.
