Give Dixi a Better Birthday: Fund Her Amputation

My name is Sky. I found Dixi on May 28, 2024 on 27th & Van Buren. I caught her, posted her, and never found her owners. I ended up taking her in. Based on the vets evaluation, September 28, 2024 is her made up 1st birthday. On her birthday, I wanted to do something special for her. I took her on a bike ride with her in the basket. She was attached via harness and very short leash. She jumped out the basket, was caught, but was okay… until her paw got stuck in the gears of the bike. She was stuck, I couldn’t get her out. The fire department got her paw out. But based on images from the emergency vet, her paw is not fixable. She suffered many broken bones, shredded ligaments, and more. Amputation is the only decision left. Although she is a 3 lb pup, she is costly for an amputation. Today as I make this GoFundMe, is her 1st birthday. She is scheduled for amputation on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. I saved this girl from the streets to give her the best life I could give her. And now, my funds aren’t allowing me and I ask for help. Please help me fix my little girl and help me give her a better birthday
