Hi, my name is Debbie Derrick and I need teeth. Two years ago, I had all my teeth removed as they were breaking off and falling apart due to chronic inflammation from a long-term illness.
The surgery was a total success and my gums finally got a chance to heal. It felt good not to always run my tongue along my teeth to see if they were still there. Months of healing followed the surgery, however; when it came time to insert the dentures, they were way too big. No matter what adjustments were made they were just too large. So I went au-natural, and started living with no teeth - gumming everything and keeping my mouth closed when I would normally smile. That’s been my life for the last 24 months. I had no hope…..
No hope until last Wednesday when I met with a specialist who steps in to help people like me. After a thorough examination and facial CT scan, he developed a treatment plan that can bring a toothy smile to my face! Thankfully, implants were never a consideration as the CT scan showed I have very little bone with which to work.
Instead, he can fashion a set of teeth for me that are small enough to fit my mouth and wear while eating! These removable dentures will be made with newer, stronger materials so they can fit without all of the bulk. Hope….
Unfortunately, we are unable to afford the dentures and have already been turned down for financing. That is why I’m stepping out, asking for financial help, in such a public way.
I’m tired of living without teeth. I thought just having all of the broken teeth removed would be so much easier, but it’s not. I would really like to have teeth again.
Could you please help me?
