My fiancé recently received heartbreaking news—her beloved soul dog of 10 years, Darby, has a mass in her duodenum that is now blocking the flow of food. The only way to give her more time is a very high-risk surgery to remove the mass, including part of her pylorus with a specialized surgical team.

Darby is so much more than a pet—she’s been her constant, her comfort, her rock with Whitney’s dad passing suddenly 1 year prior, Darby has been that shining light for her.

Many of you know my fiancé as someone who gives endlessly to others. As a new graduate paid nurse working in the emergency room and ICU, she spends her days caring for people during their most critical moments. She’s not one to ever ask for help—but right now, she truly needs it.
