I am Tara Music and my cousin Chris Raley's wife, Danielle Raley, is awaiting a liver transplant. What started a little over a month ago with abdominal pain brought her to the hospital, and 13 days later, they discharged her with the diagnosis of pneumonia. Three days later, her husband Chris rushed her back to the hospital due to swelling and jaundice. After another week in the hospital, they did a biopsy of her liver and determined that she was in end-stage liver disease. Her kidneys are not working properly, and she is also receiving dialysis. She was transferred to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, where they have made the determination that she will need a liver transplant. Danielle is a wife and mother of 5, and has always been the heart of their family. She is the first to celebrate their joys and the steady rock that guides them through every challenge. Now she is facing the biggest fight of her life with being diagnosed with end-stage liver disease, and her only hope is for a liver transplant. The medical journey has been overwhelming, but their greatest struggle is seeing the woman that gives so much to others needing help herself. I am starting this fundraiser for this family to give Danielle a fighting chance to bring her back to the center of her family's lives where she belongs. While her insurance covers a portion of the costs, the out-of-pocket expenses are staggering and adding up quickly.
