My Dad suffered a massive stroke on August 1st, 2024.

He's been in and out of hospitals, critical care, and Skilled Nursing Facilities since then. He's lost a lot of function on the left side of his body and only recently regained enough capacity in his throat to be able to swallow thin liquids. He's had a PEG tube placed in his stomach to help with nutrition and is just in general not having a great time right now. He's currently residing in a Skilled Nursing Facility close to home, and his immediate family is helping out with visits and keeping him as upbeat as we can.

He asked me to do this because he's going to need help in the future. Insurance will only go so far, and with the long road ahead for him, he's going to need additional assistance. We've done the math, and while this does seem like a crazy high amount for me, it's only the tip of the iceberg for what he's going to be facing - and we'd like to give him the best shot possible. So we're reaching out to all of his friends and family out there to pitch in where they can, it's truly appreciated!
