Give Dad a Chance: Donate for Pacemaker

My dad is only 53 years old, and he has already survived three heart attacks. Right now, his heart is only working at 18%. The doctors have told us he urgently needs a pacemaker to keep his heart beating and to give him a real chance at life. Without it, every day is a fight for survival.

My dad is the kind of person who has always put everyone else before himself. He’s the one who shows up when you need help, the one who makes you laugh when you’re having the worst day, the one who loves his family more than anything. He’s a father, a son, a brother, and a friend and we can’t imagine our lives without him.

The hardest part is that he isn’t eligible for Medicaid and can’t afford health insurance. That means the cost of this life-saving procedure falls entirely on us and it’s more than our family can handle alone. We’re doing everything we can, but we need help. That’s why I’m here, asking for support.

Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to giving my dad the chance to keep living, to keep being here for his children, and to keep sharing his smile and his love with the people who care about him. If you can’t donate, even sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.

Mi papá tiene solo 53 años y ya ha sobrevivido a tres ataques al corazón. En este momento, su corazón solo funciona al 18%. Los doctores nos han dicho que necesita urgentemente un marcapasos para mantener su corazón latiendo y darle una verdadera oportunidad de vida. Sin él, cada día es una lucha por sobrevivir.

Mi papá es el tipo de persona que siempre ha puesto a los demás antes que a sí mismo. Es quien siempre está cuando lo necesitas, el que te hace reír en tus peores días, el que ama a su familia más que a nada. Es padre, hijo, hermano y amigo y no podemos imaginarnos la vida sin él.

Lo más difícil es que él no califica para Medicaid y no puede pagar un seguro médico. Eso significa que el costo de este procedimiento que le salvaría la vida recae completamente en nosotros y es más de lo que nuestra familia puede cubrir sola. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible, pero necesitamos ayuda. Por eso estoy aquí, pidiendo su apoyo.
