My name is David Polanco. This is my mother, Cristina Alfonzo de Polanco. She lives in Venezuela. She experiences constant pain in her knees and left foot, to the point that she needs a walker to move around due to the intense pain. She urgently needs two surgeries. One is a total replacement of her right knee due to osteoarthritis, and the other is the correction of a congenital malformation in her left foot. Initially, it was thought that both knees would need to be replaced, as both have osteoarthritis, but new tests revealed that the left knee can continue to function if the other improves. We need your help to cover these expenses and give her a better quality of life. Until recently, she was caring for her 95-year-old mother, but due to her condition, she can no longer do so.

In addition to these issues, she also suffers from high blood pressure, varicose veins in both legs, and asthma.

This process has been difficult for her, as she has been a widow since 2006, and both my sister Crisbel and I live abroad. Her love for her mother keeps her tied to Venezuela. She wants to stay by her side until the end.

Mi nombre es David Polanco. Les presento a mi mamá, Cristina Alfonzo de Polanco. Vive en Venezuela. Continuamente experimenta dolores en sus rodillas y en su pie izquierdo, al punto de que necesita una caminadora para poder moverse debido al intenso dolor. Ella requiere con urgencia dos cirugías. Una sería el reemplazo total de su rodilla derecha debido a artrosis, y la otra sería la corrección de malformación congénita en su pie izquierdo. En un principio se pensaba reemplazar ambas rodillas, pues ambas tienen artrosis, pero nuevos exámenes revelaron que la rodilla izquierda puede seguir funcionando si la otra mejora. Necesitamos de tu ayuda para poder costear estos gastos y darle una mejor calidad de vida. Hasta hace poco cuidaba de mi abuela (su mamá) de 95 años de edad, pero por su condición no puede seguir haciéndolo.

Además de estas situaciones, también sufre de presión arterial alta, varices en ambas piernas y asma.

Este proceso ha sido duro para ella, pues es viuda desde 2006, y tanto mi hermana Crisbel como yo, vivimos en el exterior. El amor por su madre la mantiene atada a Venezuela. Quiere mantenerse hasta el final a su lado.
