Hello. I’m Andrea Bigham. My husband and I inherited Cooper when my mom unexpectedly passed away the Sunday after Thanksgiving of 2023. We got him for her as a puppy for Mother’s Day in 2018. He was her baby and he’s our little buddy. I love this puppy fiercely and being that he was my mom’s makes this even harder.

The last couple months have brought many vet visits and have cost tons of money. He had a neck injury and while that was going on he was diagnosed with dry eye, so more vet visits and meds. We are at $2500 out of pocket in the last two months. Those issues improved but he started having tummy issues the last week. He has black stool, labored breathing etc.

He went to the today and they referred us to a critical care emergency vet for more imaging. They found a mass by his heart and xray can’t determine if it’s fluid or a tumor. His red blood cell count is really low, white blood cell is elevated. He has fluid around his lungs.

We are looking at $4,000 to $7,000 just for today after the $500 we just spent at his vet. The last 18 months we have been in rough financial conditions due to the lengthy expensive probate process.

We really cannot afford this but he deserves a chance and I cannot handle more loss. Please help if you can and share. I need him
