Hi everyone,

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but I’m asking for help for my tiny best friend, Coconut.

Coconut is my hamster, and she means absolutely everything to me. Recently, I’ve noticed she’s been struggling to eat and showing signs of serious dental problems. Hamsters’ teeth never stop growing, and without proper treatment, this can quickly become painful and even life threatening. She urgently needs to see a vet, and due to the nature of the procedure, she will need to be sedated, which makes the cost much higher.

When I first brought Coconut home, she was already suffering. She had visible cuts on her tail and back, and seeing her like that broke my heart. I rescued her knowing she deserved love, safety, and a second chance at life. Since then, I’ve devoted myself completely to her care. I recently upgraded her to a brand-new cage so she could have the best possible environment and quality of life.

Coconut is only a year and a half old, and with proper care, she could live many more happy years. She is my pride and joy. She is my routine, my comfort, and honestly, a huge part of my world. Watching her struggle to eat and knowing she’s likely in pain has been absolutely devastating.

Unfortunately, I’m really struggling financially right now. Vet bills are overwhelming, and I simply don’t have the money saved to cover sedation, dental treatment, and follow up care. The thought of not being able to help her because of money is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
