This is Cleo she was recently diagnosed with a grade 4 patellar luxation on her right hind leg and she will need surgery to help fix it. And once her surgery is complete it will be a long two-month recovery window. All of this is necessary to ensure that she has a long and happy life without the pain in her leg preventing her from an active lifestyle.
Patellar Luxation is a common orthopedic condition in smaller dog breeds like Cleo where the kneecap slides out of the knee groove, causing intermittent lameness, skipping, or holding up the leg. In Cleo’s case, her patellar luxation is genetic and causes her pain throughout the day. Although she suffers from this condition she remains a happy and playful dog who brightens everyone’s day.
As Cleo’s parents we want to provide the very best life for her. We ask for any kind of assistance in this matter as we rely on one primary source of income and have had recent medical care that have taken a lot on current savings. If you cannot provide assistance financially please spread this post to get as many eyes on it as possible! As you know with current economic circumstances things are tough, we appreciate any support at all!
