Give Cisco a Chance at More Happy Years

Story

Help Our Sweet Dog Fight Kidney Disease Hello everyone, My name is Natalie, and I’m reaching out today with a very heavy heart to ask for your help. Our beloved 9-year-old dog, Cisco, was recently diagnosed with kidney problems that are threatening his health and quality of life. We are doing everything in our power to give him the care he needs, but the cost of treatment is more than we can afford on our own. Cisco has been a part of our family since he was just a tiny puppy. He has been by our side through every milestone, offering us endless love, loyalty, and joy. He’s more than just a pet—he’s our best friend, our emotional support (My ESA) and a cherished member of our family. I’ve suffered from ptsd and anxiety disorder and he has taught me so much patience and resilience throughout these 9 years. Over the past few weeks, we noticed Cisco wasn’t acting like himself. He was more tired than usual, not eating well, and started to lose weight. After a series of tests and vet visits, we were given the heartbreaking news that he has developed serious kidney issues. While there is a treatment plan that can help improve his condition and extend his life, it comes at a high cost—including medications, special food, IV fluids, regular bloodwork, and follow-up vet visits. The total cost of his full treatment plan is estimated to be $5000, and we’ve already exhausted our savings trying to get him the care he’s needed up to this point. We’ve never been ones to ask for help, but right now we’re facing a situation where we can’t do this alone. If you are able to contribute—no matter how big or small—we would be forever grateful. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us. Cisco still has so much love to give, and with the right treatment, he has a real chance at living more happy, pain-free years. All we want is to give him that chance. Putting him to sleep would be our last resort. Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for being part of Cisco's journey. Your kindness means more than words can say. With love and gratitude, Gerardo and Natalie (and Cisco) UPDATE: As some of you may seen on my IG story, my husband and I had to make the most difficult and heartbreaking decision of our entire lives. We went home with only his collar and leash in hand that Thursday night. The vet told us the devestating news that even with treatment, his life would only be prolonged by a couple weeks. We did everything we could for him to get better, but with every vet visit, my baby was growing tired and anxious. I didn’t want to see him suffer any longer. I appreciate the continuous support from everyone who shared and donated. I ask that you keep sharing to help us replenish most of what was spent on our soulmate pet. We love him so much and we poured every ounce of it into him. As of now, we are waiting for his remains and we went with aquamation. He loved the beach and always dug his nose into the sand from how excited he was to be there. Thank you to everyone once again. We appreciate the support and do not take it for granted.

Help Our Sweet Dog Fight Kidney Disease

Hello everyone,

My name is Natalie, and I’m reaching out today with a very heavy heart to ask for your help. Our beloved 9-year-old dog, Cisco, was recently diagnosed with kidney problems that are threatening his health and quality of life. We are doing everything in our power to give him the care he needs, but the cost of treatment is more than we can afford on our own.

Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for being part of Cisco's journey. Your kindness means more than words can say.
