Give Chubs the Peace and Health He Needs

'This is Chubs, the sweetest and goodest boy ever!

He's not had an easy life, but he's been fighting so hard, even with all the odds stacked against him.

Chubs came to be a part of my little family in January when my girlfriend was traveling back from Georgia to North Dakota. It was just chubs and her on a 3-day journey across the United States, which is where they truly bonded. Chubs was originally being taken care of by her friend, who rescued him about a year ago, and had been trying to rehome him. Unfortunately, though, no one seemed to want Chubs.

All I can say is their loss and our gain! He is the best addition to our little family and he fits right in along with the other weirdos of this family!

Chubs was found hairless and starving, chained to a tree. The people who had him moved and just abandoned him, chained up and left to die. Luckily, her friend's daughter rescued him. They saved his life and did what they could to rehabilitate him. He had no hair, was starved, covered in fleas and ants, and flies had eaten away at his ears and tail. It's been a long, terrifying journey for our little boy Chubs, but he's choosing to live and be happy every day! So the least we can do is give him the life and peace he deserves.

Our dear boy has been battling with some pretty nasty skin issues and infections, which means a lot of vet bills and medications. We are already financially struggling these couple of months, but we were making do! Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago, Chubs started refusing his antibiotics and food. His tummy has been hurting a lot. we've tried different food diets, including a bland diet, and every morning he would throw up. Just when we thought he was getting better, 3 days ago, he had an accident in the house and there was an enormous amount of blood, which absolutely terrified us. Krystal had already been communicating with the vet over the 2 weeks about his tummy trouble, so when she called them, they said she should come in for an emergency appointment.

My little Chubs is on 5 different medicines for the next two weeks. He's having to eat a special kind of dog food that costs $60.00 for just a 2-week amount. That being said, we had to use our rent money to pay for these vet bills, and he has another appointment on the 13th of April, which was already previously scheduled for his skin conditions.

I'm here to put my pride away because Chubs needs help. I'm asking for anyone to give anything they can to help get him back on a healthy track to give him the peace he truly deserves. Thank you so much for reading this and if you can't help, can you please at least share this around so others who can help will see it? My little family would really appreciate it!

The total estimated amount is a rough estimate and when chubs is back on track with his health we will close down the go fund me. Since I don't know a complete estimate on what we're going to be spending on chubs treatments, I'm going to be keeping a list of total amounts that the money is being spent on!
