I am asking for help to pay for medical costs for our family dog. Her name is Chrystal. We adopted her as a rescue for my daughter, who was having medical issues, but we all fell in love with her. She has a special story of service and love. A year after we added her to our family, a major family disaster occurred, which spiraled everyone's life in our family, including hers. I would spend months in and out of the hospitals by my daughter's side. Out of necessity, I would send her and my son to live with different family members. Little did I know how much she would bless our family over the next few years.
When Victoria was home, she would stay with her and literally lick her tears. She would go to doctor's appointments in a stroller we bought her. She literally and figuratively licked our tears away.
I could go on and on with stories, but I need to get to the point!!
Today, Chrystal, my 8-year-old, was rushed to the ER at 6 am and was provided with critical care. (Two days ago, she was acting weird but didn't seem urgent). She has been diagnosed with heart disease (perfectly healthy at her last annual check-up), and there is fluid around her heart, making it hard to pump and get oxygen. In turn, she is struggling to breathe. If she can get treatment, she might make it through (the vet said 50/50 chance treatment works in her condition, which includes my limited funds and her enlarged heart). If she makes it through, she could have the possibility to stabilize her heart condition. At this point, I have maxed out my care credit to pay for the next 24 hours of treatment (the doctor recommends two days of treatment). I want to give back to her the love she has given us and more years of love and care, if it's God's will (if not, my mom and dad will take care of her in heaven). If you can help, thanks from the bottom of my heart!
