Give Chip a Chance at a Healthy Life

UPDATE 7/12: We have most of Chip's medical costs covered thanks to you guys! We are so grateful! We now need to raise only $400 to cover his final heartworm treatment and his surgery to get neutered. You guys are saving Chip's life! Next step is finding him a safe and comfortable home :)

Chip needs help! He stepped out in front of my car on a country road two weeks ago. I couldn’t leave him there starving and covered in fleas, so I lured him to my car with a bag of potato chips (hence his name.) I'm so glad he did because he found a home that will help. Hannah and I have been working to care for him ever since.

We got him cleaned up and to a vet first thing and quickly found out he has a lot of medical needs. He’s positive for hook worms, whip worms, and worst of all heart worms. This could be life threatening for Chip, so the situation is dire. Chip deserves a chance at a normal, healthy life.

Our plan for Chip is to foster him for a time as he gains weight, learns how to live politely in a house, and gets healthy. Eventually we'd like to adopt him out to a good home, but before we can do that we need your help.

We need assistance paying for Chip’s whip worm and hook worm medication, as well as future heart worm treatment. The vet quoted us $1,700 for heart worm related vet visits, tests, and medication, but we need help funding this before we can start his treatment plan.
