Help Charly Recover from Kidney Failure
Donation protected
Charly is our 6-year-old cat. A few days ago, he suddenly stopped eating and refused all food. We took him to the vet, and they told us his liver was failing—it was serious, and at the time they said it was comparable to stage 4 cancer.
Charly was hospitalized for 48 hours while they ran tests and tried to stabilize him. The bloodwork revealed kidney failure. One of his kidney values, which should normally be around 1, had spiked to 14. After two days on fluids, it dropped to 4, and he was stable enough to come home.
He’s now on a strict kidney-supportive diet and will need regular checkups for the foreseeable future. While we’re hopeful and relieved he’s back home, his condition is still serious and will need close monitoring.
The emergency vet bill came out to $2,700. This was completely unexpected, and we’re asking for support to help ease the financial burden.
Charly is a family cat, but he’s especially bonded with my younger brother Ryan. They’ve been inseparable since the day we brought Charly home, and this entire experience has been incredibly hard on him.
We’re deeply grateful for any support you’re able to give. Thank you for helping Charly keep fighting.
