Give Charlie More Time with His Family
Donation protected
My name is Cynthia and my family just received heartbreaking news that our beloved golden retriever, Charlie, has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. This was completely unexpected as we initially took him to the animal hospital for a separate issue, never imagining we’d be facing something so devastating.
Charlie became part of our family when we adopted him at 2 years old in 2017. He just turned 9 this past October. From the moment we brought him home he has been the most friendly, loving and gentle soul and is the best part of our days. He loves cuddling, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and eating our pizza crusts. The most exciting part of his day has to be his daily walks and sniffing all the smells ☀️. It breaks our hearts that we didn’t know he was feeling sick. He didn’t show any signs of weakness until recently as he’s always been our little warrior .
Thankfully, Charlie has been responding well to his treatments in the ICU. If his numbers continue to improve, we could have anywhere from 3 to 12 more months with him with medication and regular doctor visits to keep him comfortable and stable. We want to do everything we can to give him the best care possible, but as many of you know, emergency veterinary costs can be overwhelming especially when unexpected.
All funds raised will go directly toward Charlie’s hospital bills and ongoing treatments at the Veterinary Specialty Center in Bannockburn. If you wanted to donate directly to his account at the hospital for his ongoing treatments his account is under Charlie Beltran. Any amount, no matter how small, will help give us more time with Charlie and improve his quality of life. We are beyond grateful for your kindness, generosity and support during this very difficult time as he’s our first fur baby.
Thank you for reading Charlie’s story and for helping us spend another day with our best boy.
God Bless you all,
Rickey, Lorena, Cynthia, Alan, Tanya and Charlie
